Kahoot
This entry is about Kahoot which is an online formative assessment tool for educators. This tool is found in Doctor Wang's presentation of previous T3PP results (RQ2 technologies, software).
Kahoot is a site where student understanding can be assessed and teachers can gain formative information to plan instruction. Because of this, I categorize Kahoot primarily as a tool that fits into the 7th event (assessing the learning outcome). However, this tool could also be used for the 1st event (gaining attention through questioning). Teachers and/or students can create a Kahoot that the whole class get to be a part of. Students will enter the Kahoot game by entering a game pin.

Once students have entered the game and can see their name on the board, the instructor will press start, and questions will begin.

Here is what the class will see when the time is up or all students have answered:Kahoot Pro and Kahoot Premium have additional features specific to an educational setting that offer additional benefits. The free version has a lot of restrictions. I created an example Kahoot to share with my blog using the free version, but I couldn't publish it without upgrading to a paid version. I was only able to save it as a draft, and so I can not share it. In addition, I had one free image to use and I was unable to copy and paste free images from other search engines. Therefore, teachers need to pay for Kahoot in order to use it effectively for instruction.
Kahoot is very easy to use and navigate. However, the free version is not ideal, and not useful for instruction. In addition, there is not a high amount of versatility with how it can be used. However, the versatility of how to form the questions is exceptional. I can see myself using this tool, but I would pursue other tools that are free first.
